Susan Kynett came to light in the wilderness of proper suburban Ohio. After a lifetime of study and escaping into her imagination, she has finally taken the leap to write down and share her fantastical mind trips. A childhood spent camping, greedily devouring books, and finding her own path to faith taught Susan to see the world with open eyes and open mind. A BFA in Craft Art, Masters in Environmental Pollution Control, most of a PhD in Environmental Engineering and another one in Environmental Science has left her with an overwhelming desire to do, well, anything else. Visions of sugarplums danced in her mind, mixing strangely with chemical and hydrodynamics equations and clay art. People live out their lives, universes are born and die within her head. Storytelling has always been a quiet passion, stories that become an extension of the burning creativity demanding release. Finally, the artist, mad scientist, crafty engineer, and storyteller have fused into one.
Perhaps best described as a fusion of genres, styles, and moods; depending on how strong the coffee was that morning. I have played in universes of fantasy, science fiction, and eclectic poetry. A day may come when I settle into one genera and style; but that day is still a long way off.
'They' say life experiences are both the fuel that feeds and the fire that drives artistic expression. But occasionally, too much fuel and too great a fire can burn the muse right out of the soul. This challenge is more than words on a screen; it is a sledge to break through the wall of recent traumas, and find my voice once again. I aim to write 10,000 words; building short stories, poetry, and breaking ground on my next book.
