Writer Bio
My name is Mark Rivera. I live in New York. I am an author and writer as well as a reviewer too. I have been running a home video and TV review website since 1999 called GenreOnline.net. I also do video reviews of statues and collectibles that appear on the companion YouTube channel. I have also been a contributing writer for Halloween forevermore.com. My first book The Final Arbiter, a work of science fiction, was among the top ten science fiction and fantasy novels of 2011 as chosen by readers in the 2011 Tor.com Reader's Choice Awards. Late in 2016 I published my second book, a science fiction novella entitled First Mover. First Maker., which was among the writing projects I worked on during the 2016 Writer-A-Thon.
Writing Style
Varied.
Writing Goal
I want write thirty new pages at least in the first draft of my next novel. Thirty pages are more challenging than the average layperson realizes. It is very easy to write by instinct. However when one applies craft, it takes longer and it is more of a challenge, especially when taking the fact that my formal training was in writing drama and not fiction.
