Writer Bio

I teach writing and literature at San Francisco State University. I co-edit Pravic magazine (a SF zine), and I study the life and work of Philip K Dick. My non-fiction has appeared at boingboing, io9, and Article Magazine. My fiction has appeared on boingboing, 365 Tomorrows, and in Theurgy Magazine.

Writing Style

I like to use Science Fiction imagery to talk about what it means to be alive in the 21st century and what it means to be human. Currently working on stories that mourn the incredible destruction we have wrought on planet earth, without being, you know, preachy.

Writing Goal

I'm working on short fiction right now. I'd like to write at least 500 words a day, five days a week this summer, completing five new stories all before the end of August.

Fundraising Goal

I would like to join a writing team here at the Clarion Write-a-thon, but I'm happy just to raise whatever money I can for this great cause. I'd also like to increase the visibility of my writing and my SF zine, Pravic (pravicsf.com).

writing goal:
5 short stories written
