Writer Bio

My fiction has appeared in or is forthcoming from venues such as Nightmare, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, and the Dark. I'm also a journalist who's written for outlets such as NPR, Slate, the Boston Globe and the Financial Times. I am pursuing my MFA in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I like history, hats, crafts, and dogs.

Writing Style

Gothic. Misandry. Ghosts. Something mysterious happened by the ocean, and we liked it. The decayed grandeur of pre-war Europe. Ask the spiritualist. We were girls alone in the world, and our obsession for each other burned brighter and colder than anything else. The curse lived on. "Where, where does this darkness inside of you come from, Emily?!?!?" --my mom.

Writing Goal

I pledge to write six days a week for the next six weeks, wherein "writing" is defined as at least two hours of revising per day OR 1,000 words of a new draft produced!

Fundraising Goal
